On the afternoon of 10th of February 2009, was signed the Training Protocol between Marques, SGPS SA, represented by Dr. Pedro Marques, and the University of the Azores, represented by the Principal of the University.
 
The ceremony held in Rectory’ s auditorium, and was attended by several delegates from that Educational Institution, including the Director of Modern Languages and Literature’s Department, and the Director of Public Relations and Communication degree.
 
At the ceremony, Dr. Pedro Marques noted the commitment and cooperation of Marques with the University of the Azores, contributing for student’s education and emphasized the fact that Marques has, at the moment, 22 students doing a period of training in Marques Group. On the other hand, the Principal of the University said that this company is the innovation hostel, and a degree is not in self an answer if there isn’t a link between the University and the companies.
 
The Training’s objectives are: to provide students of Public Relations and Communications degree an opportunity to practice some of the theoretical principles learned; establish for the student the first link between the University and the business world; and intensify the relationship between companies and Modern Languages and Literature’s Department.
