Being part of the biggest group of the construction industry of the Autonomous Region of the Azores, the Marques Group, MARQUES BRITAS was established in 1991, being a young, dynamic company with a strong will to evolve.
MARQUES BRITAS has, in its staff, workers specialized in each field of activity thus guaranteeing the constant adaptation of the company to each and every change in the market as well as in the technology field, constantly promoting the participation of its staff in specific training sessions.
It is mainly an industrial company, endowed with modern equipment and having test, support and production planning materials in all its relevant activities.
MARQUES BRITAS works in different intertwined areas of activity, in a line of complementarity with the construction industry, namely:
Marques Britas is a certified company according to NP EN ISO 9001: 2000, regarding the production and distribution of ready-made concrete, production of aggregates, production of bituminous mixtures, commercialization of bituminous emulsion, production of sawed basalt rock, production of pieces in marble, granite and limestone, commercialization of tiles, production and assembly of carpentries, locksmith’s works and aluminium framework, and rental of equipment, with the certificate number 01/CEP1533 according to OHSAS 18001: 1999/ NP 4397:2001, in the scope of all the activities carried out by Marques Britas (with the exception of rock sawing, with the certificate number 2004/SST.040.
Marques Britas has still got the CE stamp in its aggregates, with the certificate number 0866-CPD-2004/CE.022, according to the NP EN 12620:2004, NP EN 13043:2004 and NP EN 13242:2005 regulations.
